MRO Europe 2026 review: the deals, the themes and what to note for 2027
MRO Europe, Aviation Week’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) conference and exhibition, took place at RAI Amsterdam from 27 to 29 October 2026. The conference ran on 27–28 October and the exhibition on 28–29 October. Here is a summary of what was announced, what the industry talked about and what exhibitors can take away for next year.
Before the show, we listed the Turkish and Dutch exhibitors in our MRO Europe 2026 exhibitor overview.
Official figures are not out yet
Ahead of the event, organiser Aviation Week expected more than 11,000 attendees and more than 500 exhibitors (official site). As of 30 October, final 2026 figures have not been published and the fields on the official results page are still empty (Aviation Week). We therefore make no estimates and will update this article when the official numbers are released.
For comparison, the organiser reported 11,331 unique attendees, 630 exhibitors, 1,200 airline and lessor buyers and 90 countries at the 2025 edition in London.

- Turnaround time: operators want more predictability, and MROs are making turnaround time a priority (Aviation Week).
- Workforce: the focus is shifting towards time to competency: how quickly new staff become competent (Aviation Week).
Highlights from Turkish and Dutch companies
- Turkish Technic (Türkiye), a platinum sponsor of the show, signed three agreements according to the Turkish aviation news site Herdem Aviation: pre-redelivery preparation and painting of six Boeing 737-800s for TUI, landing gear and equipment support for several Airbus types with Safran Landing Systems, and repair of 2100-series flight data recorders with Acron Aviation (Herdem Aviation, in Turkish).
- KLM Engineering & Maintenance (Netherlands) is building up military MRO: its first four technicians have started training to maintain Royal Netherlands Air Force AH-64 and CH-47 helicopters, and the company expects work on new platforms such as the H225M and KC-390 (Aviation Week).

Notes for MRO Europe 2027
The next MRO Europe returns to Amsterdam on 19–21 October 2027, before moving to London on 3–5 October 2028 (official dates). A few takeaways for exhibitors:
- Follow up within two weeks: send each contact a message tailored to what you discussed. See our trade show follow-up templates.
- Build your message around the big three: supply security, turnaround time and workforce competency dominated the 2026 discussions. Showing how you address them gives visitors a clear reason to stop at your stand.
- Start early: stand design, materials and meeting planning often need six months or more. Our trade fair preparation checklist walks through the steps.
