Fairs by sector
Food and drink
Horecava (11–14 January, RAI Amsterdam) is the long-established Dutch trade fair for hotels, restaurants and catering. It is a chance for food and drink suppliers, equipment manufacturers and service providers to get to know the Dutch hospitality market up close.
PLMA World of Private Label (25–26 May, RAI Amsterdam) is the international show where supermarket chains and retailers meet manufacturers for their own-brand products. For companies that want to produce private label food or non-food products for European retail, it is one of the most important dates of the year.
Construction
InfraTech (12–15 January, Rotterdam Ahoy) covers technology for road, water and infrastructure projects, while BouwBeurs (1–5 February, Jaarbeurs Utrecht) brings together the construction sector and building materials. Future Facade (26–27 May, Jaarbeurs Utrecht) is an international event focused on facade systems, of particular interest to manufacturers of aluminium, glass and facade solutions.
Water and agritech
Aquatech Amsterdam (9–12 March, RAI Amsterdam) focuses on drinking water, wastewater and process water technology; GreenTech Amsterdam (15–17 June, RAI Amsterdam) on greenhouse and horticulture technology. GreenTech describes itself as the number one horticulture technology event, making it one to watch for companies in greenhouse farming and irrigation.
Industry and maritime
Maintenance NEXT (20–22 April, Rotterdam Ahoy) brings together solutions for industrial maintenance and asset management. Europort (2–5 November, Rotterdam Ahoy) is the maritime technology and shipbuilding exhibition, covering offshore, dredging, inland shipping and superyachts. For shipyards and maritime suppliers, it is one of the dates not to miss in 2027.
Technology and media
IBC2027 (10–13 September, RAI Amsterdam) is the international gathering for media, entertainment and broadcast technology. In October, Amsterdam hosts two AI events: World Summit AI (6–7 October) and AI & Big Data Expo Europe (19–20 October, RAI Amsterdam). For AI events worldwide, see our 2027 AI events calendar.
Fairs with dates still to be announced, and fairs not held in 2027
- Metstrade: the leisure marine equipment show in Amsterdam. The 2026 edition runs from 17 to 19 November at RAI Amsterdam; the 2027 dates have not yet been announced.
- World Hydrogen Summit: the hydrogen summit and exhibition at Rotterdam Ahoy; the 2027 dates have not yet been announced.
- ESEF and TechniShow: these manufacturing fairs in Utrecht are held every two years; the next TechniShow takes place on 14–17 March 2028.
A preparation timeline for exhibiting in the Netherlands
- 12–9 months before: choose the fair that best fits your goals, apply for a stand and set your budget. At popular fairs, well-placed stands fill up early.
- 6 months before: define your message for the fair and prepare English (and, where useful, Dutch) versions of your catalogue, presentation and website.
- 3 months before: arrange visas, accommodation and logistics, and send meeting requests to the companies you want to see at the fair.
- After the fair: organise your meeting notes within the same week and plan your follow-up; this is where the real return of a fair shows.
A note on visas: business travellers from countries such as Türkiye need a Schengen visa for the Netherlands. According to the Dutch government’s checklist for applicants in Türkiye, an invitation from the company or event in the Netherlands is normally required; when visiting a trade fair or conference without an invitation, an entry ticket or other proof of participation can be used instead (Netherlands Worldwide).
When planning, keep Dutch public holidays in mind as well: around King’s Day, Ascension Day and the summer holiday, decisions take longer. See our 2027 public holidays calendar for the Netherlands and Türkiye.
